On my journey for glowing, clear skin I heard a lot of buzz about the wondrous stuff made by bees and its numerous benefits for the skin. Guerlain’s exceptional formula offers the richness of an oil, the lightness of a lotion and the power of a serum. Enriched with nourishing microbeads that melt quickly to moisturize the skin, leaving it silky and super soft without weighing it down. I could write an entire essay on how beneficial honey is for the skin, so I really love this natural formula being the first protective and repairing layer in my moisturizing regime. I found that it dried a bit tacky on its own but paired perfectly with my daily moisturizers, leaving my skin supple with a dewy, natural glow. I used it for over a week, morning and night, under my regular moisturizers and I am astonished by how youthful my skin looks! Guerlain delivers on everything this magic potion promises – renewing radiance, anti-aging, and anti-puffiness, while plumping up all the right places! I can smoothly apply my make-up over it beautifully, but now that I’ve discovered the Youth Watery Oil from Guerlain, I’ll be showing off my healthy and glowing bare skin more confidently!
The packaging is splendidly regal! Fit for a Queen! The fragrance is surprisingly slightly strong, but in the most delightful way! Instead of smelling like a flower, you’ll smell like a field of wildflowers! The potency of the fragrance does diminish once you’ve applied your usual moisturizer. This must have been what Angelina was wearing the day she was photographed being kissed by thousands of honeybees! They must have thought that she was a big, beautiful flower!

I have been wanting to try Guerlain's skincare since their astounding collaboration with actress and philanthropist, Angelina Jolie. In an initiative to raise awareness for bee conservation the Hollywood starlet shocked the world by covering herself in thousands of live honey bees for a photoshoot with National Geographic.

I applaud Guerlain Paris for taking the initiative to really make a difference for a better world and having such a positive impact on the environment to help save the bees! I really love how much research they have done about all of the benefits honey has on our skin. Guerlain's website is full of in-depth knowledge and years of perfecting the most exquisite skincare formulas.
Beauty and the Bee: Honey-Infused Skincare
I am fascinated with nature's most miraculous skincare emollient: Honey. Did you know that honey naturally opens the pores, helping clear away dirt. And because honey is antibacterial, it is very effective in the prevention and treatment of acne. Yet, it is not harsh or abrasive, nor does it dry or strip your skin. In fact, honey is loaded with minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and natural enzymes that literally nourish your skin from the outside in. It is also a humectant, which helps your skin absorb and retain moisture. While other skincare products are full of toxic ingredients like parabens and phthalates, Guerlain's gentle formulas use 95% all natural ingredients. So, instead of spending a small fortune purchasing all sorts of specialty skincare items that promise to combat specific skin issues, i.e. acne, sensitivity, dry skin, etc. mother nature seems to know what's best ... pure and simple.

Advanced Youth Watery Oil
Guerlain's Youth Watery Oil has been a staple in my skincare lineup since I was first introduced to it last summer. It's an incredibly light-weight - yet - rich facial oil with all of the benefits of a serum jam packed with natural nutrients to nourish the skin. Guerlain's formula combines nature's best skin care ingredients with advanced science to create the fountain of youth and has bottled it up for us, in the most aesthetically pleasing bottles... I might add!

I have been using it religiously and it's by far the best serum I have ever tried and here's why:

Honey is so amazing for your skin in so many ways! I could go on for days about the many different benefits of honey in skin care, but here is the gist of it:
Nourishing & Moisturizing - Honey's natural humectant properties make it an effective moisturizer. The enzyme activity in honey enables it to penetrate deeply into the skin and bring hydration to the underlying layers. This results in plumper, softer skin with a radiant glow.
Clears Acne & Acne Scars - Honey is produced by enzyme activity and live bacteria coming together to create a powerful healing agent and helps to even out your skin tone. It even speeds up your skin cells' healing processes. And if that wasn't enough charming facts about honey in skincare, it is also a natural exfoliator and powerful antioxidant - revealing brighter, healthier skin!
I sometimes spot-treat unsightly blemishes with unpasteurized, raw honey from the farmer's market. It's effective because raw honey still contains it's healthy bacteria to activate your immune system. It also helps with inflammation and redness. However, I'm not about to walk around with raw honey all over my face! (I already have trouble keeping my hair from sticking to my lip-gloss on windy days!) And I don't think my make-up would apply on very smoothly over it either! That's why I opt for Guerlain's Youth Watery Oil, knowing it's a healthy and nourishing pro-active and protective barrier between my skin and my cosmetics. Once it sets in, it can leave my skin feeling a little tacky, but acts as a lovely base to my moisturizer and primer.
Guerlain's Youth Watery Oil layers extremely well under other products. My skin feels immediately hydrated and luminous.
On the days when I don't wear any make-up, my skin still looks fresh, bright and plump with a dewy glow. Plus, it smells absolutely amazing! And I love smelling like Guerlain's muse, Angelina Jolie!

Simply stunning! This gorgeous bottle is separated into two sections - the serum and the cream. They pump out together to create a smoothing, brightening and tightening cocktail that lifts the skin. It works fast and delivers immediate results - visibly reducing the appearance of my fine lines (and crow's feet!) The skin of my eye contour is visibly brighter. I'm no scientist, but I'm assuming that Guerlain's superior formulas - the serum and the cream are activated when they're pumped out and mixed together, delivering an advanced, multifunctional eye care product with anti-aging results.

After only a few weeks of using this luxurious new serum, my skin is more lifted, radiant and firmer! It glides on silky smooth, leaving the delicate skin around my eyes velvety soft and supple. It has an ever-so slight, pleasant fragrance. I don't usually wear fragranced creams, especially around my eyes as they are so ridiculously sensitive. Surprisingly, it didn't irritate my eyes whatsoever! I truly appreciate Influenster & Guerlain Paris for sending me this sample to try out; otherwise, I never would have made the initial purchase based solely on the fact that it is scented... and I would have missed out BIG time!
